The first question that you might ask is what brand are these step bars? Well the problem in answering that question is the even bigger question. What is the difference in the brands? Here is the truth that most people try to hide. There are at least 40 brands of step bars (and I can name them all) that are made by three different companies in China. Even some of the largest most well known manufacturers of step bars in the US now have their bars manufactured by one of these three companies in China. How do I know? Well, I happen to be "in the loop" on this subject. I have sat in a board room with the CEO of a major US manufacturer while he was reviewing the quote from the overseas company.
